WP Engine, the WordPress Digital Experience Platform (DXP), today announced registration is open for its signature annual event, WP Engine Summit/2019, June 25-26 at the Fairmont Hotel in Austin. With over one thousand attendees throughout its four years, the WP Engine Summit/2019 is the premier event for digital leaders at agencies and brands of all sizes exploring what’s possible with WordPress in the enterprise.
This year’s theme, “Digital Breakthroughs,” sums up the unique Summit/2019 experience, providing attendees the opportunity to learn from expert speakers from the world’s leading brands and agencies. Attendees will also hear from industry thought-leaders who are driving innovation, delivering breakthrough growth and inventing the future of how brands connect with consumers online.
“33% of the web is currently run on WordPress, and that is expected to grow to over 40% by 2021. We believe it’s crucial for marketers, developers and digital technologists to gather to exchange ideas and discover better ways to drive their business forward faster with WordPress,” said Mary Ellen Dugan, Chief Marketing Officer at WP Engine. “We are honored to host some of the most innovative, forward-thinking experts in business, technology and marketing to share their lessons and advice, so the attendees leave informed, educated and prepared to bring those lessons to life in their organizations and grow their business online.”
In keeping with this year’s “Breakthrough” theme, the Summit/2019 keynote speaker will be the NFL’s all-time leading rusher, Emmitt Smith. Smith’s keynote, titled “My Personal Breakthrough: How Dreaming and Goal-Setting Made the Impossible a Reality,” will cap an exciting agenda that features speakers Heather Brunner, Chairwoman and CEO of WP Engine; Nicholas Thompson, Editor-in-Chief from Wired magazine; Dr. Chris Brauer, Director of Innovation at Goldsmiths, University of London; Jason Cohen, Founder and CTO of WP Engine; Jonathan Chen, Senior Mobile Solutions Consultant at Google; Chris Broomall, SVP and Group Head of Edelman’s Development and Technology Division and many more.
